The supra-regional spare parts central warehouse of the AGRAVIS Technik company is located in Köthen. SCHULTE was commissioned to plan and realise the project, working closely with the customer to create a warehouse solution that places particular emphasis on short distances and fast processes.

The initial situation
Agricultural machinery and vehicles work under the toughest conditions and AGRAVIS customers cannot afford a breakdown. In order to prevent this or, in the event of an emergency, to resolve it quickly, AGRAVIS takes care of the fast and reliable supply of spare parts for its customers from the Köthen site.
AGRAVIS invested in a new spare parts warehouse to increase efficiency in the spare parts business and to simplify and speed up logistics processes.
As the stocks from two halls were to be concentrated in one, the decision was made in favour of a two-storey system in close consultation. Thanks to the clever combination of different types of shelving from the SCHULTE storage technology portfolio, all parts are now clearly organised and stored in a very small space for quick access.
The spectrum ranges from MULTIplus shelving for small and medium-sized parts to pallet racking for long goods and large parts.
The highlight of the system: the conveyor technology
The orders are assembled in the warehouse and then transported to the dispatch area in the neighbouring hall via conveyor systems. This saves walking distances and significantly speeds up the overall process.
