At EBS Business School, a private business school in Oestrich-Winkel, around 1,200 students are working towards an EBS degree. Not only academically, but also architecturally, the Rheingau has something special to offer academics. The historic campus is spread across a castle, a fortress and a palace.

Special features
The shelf dimensions were already taken into account during the planning stage so that they could be fitted precisely into free-standing construction elements.
The redesign of the library posed a particular challenge: A functional shelving system not only had to accommodate over 35,000 media items, but also reflect the architectural character of the Bauhaus palace. A perfect task for SCHULTE.
In order to integrate the shelving into the room concept with a pitched roof, SCHULTE installed single and double rows of shelving with over 2,000 shelves in a screw system. The visual highlight: the galvanised hexagonal screws stand out in colour from the black, plastic powder-coated shelves - giving them the characteristic Bauhaus style that matches the building.
This fulfils all requirements for storing monographs, dissertations, handbooks, scripts or working papers in a classic, modern setting. The shelves have stop rails or centre stops to hold the books at the back. In addition, customised book hangers make handling the literature easier.
